I do that too, if I do the ones that’ll make me sad/saddest first then I won’t feel as sad when I finish reading the last one
But when my favorites update, like painter of the night, I can't help but read them first, especially when you know the updated chap will be good
When I check my updated mangas/manhwas, I always do the worst ones first and leave the best for last, so when this updated, I came as fast as I can, not because the story is bad, but because I know i'm gonna be sad and hurt after reading a chapter of this manwha, now imma go read my fluffy mangas/manwhas(〜￣△￣)〜
