I was doubting that Damien was more of Hugo, (his brother's) son. But, then I kinda thought if that was his brother's son, he would definitely not push him away, like he would treat him better than he already does. Now I'm just super confused, he did say he would let that legacy thingy end with him, so the suspicions are that it's his son after all. But I still have a nagging feeling that it's his brother's.

you could read the novel to confirm it. but basically to continue the taran bloodline he would need to produce a girl for damien to have sex with to have a male taran child, but lucia is supposedly infertile, so he can't have a daughter, supposedly. read the novel if you wanna find out.

in the novel lucia asked hugh why he sent damien at the boarding school and hugh said that it was because he can't really take care of him (or so he doesn't know how to be a father to him, i guess)

hi! i've already read the novel it just that i'm not sure if its the complete one. i'm quite sure there was a girl named ted, right? damien's first love. it just that i don't know how it really ended but i'm guessing that she's from the camp that dr. phillip created. by any chance, do you know if there is any side story for them? and also i don't remember any confrontation between hugh and damien about him being his nephew and their bloodline, things like that.

If my memory serves me right I don't think his brother sleep with one of the girls raisin in tairan sister camp. Remember it says there they both fell in love and wouldn't have taken his life if he knew that the woman was preggy. Anyways the camp was later on revealed because of Damian. The incident with Hugo and his sister where just coincidentally destined I guess.

dr phillip had the woman approach him after making sure she (his half sister) could conceive a taran child.
