I believe the dad was a single father then got married to his now stepmom and by the looks she had children from another marriage too (yuuri/myuki) And the Dad travels for work not dead.

ok im lost what i picked up is that they're stepbrothers, does that mean the mom that works with the father isn't his real mom, also i thought his dad died could someone clear the family situation up for me plz
