He divorces Navier b/c he wants Rashta's child to be considered the legitimate heir. The plan was to divorce Navier, make Rashta empress for a year so her child can be the legitimate heir. So after the one year he would divorce Rashta and remarry Navier making her empress again. He didn't divorce Navier because he loved Rashta and didnt love Navier. The entire purpose of the divorce is to make the unborn child the legitimate heir. He claims to have always loved Navier and doesnt want to lose her so once he realizes that they can never be together he starts to regret the divorce.

I live for spoilers. In the end, does the emperor realize that he is infertile? What happens to Rasta in the end? Does Navier have children?

Navier is not infertile right?

Not sure but Heinley has this magic bed that maybe fixes her infertility if she is infertile. Its not made clear if the bed is the reason she is able to have kids or if she was never infertile. The emperor realizes he's infertile when it is announced Navier is pregnant. She has twins.
