Ah I think my brother worked in a similar field as Naohito. They sell gears, molds, parts of machineries that can be thousands of dollars worth. That is why even if tho only one mold (like in the story) a client is still important. Some parts need to be replaced periodically, that's how repeat orders are established.
But my brother sells various brands. I think Naohito sells only his company's brands?
But my bro's more of a field guy - he goes directly to look at the machines and speak to the boss rather than sitting on a desk waiting for a call.
