This was unexpected and was actually wholesome. It was sad TBH it's just that you have to choose between the one you love and your family. Why not both #－.－) My theory is Danny when he went on his " spring break" he might have discovered he was gay ? maybe and on the other hand chloe might have also fallen in love when she went on her break and came back to town out of obligation and tradition.
The ending THO....... when theo was having the flashback of his memories of childhood and never going to be able to go back to his hometown and the symbolic theme of his hat flying off and dropping. which pretty much means he is no longer amish.......... （￣へ￣）
