I should say this because what you said seems problematic. Many actual gay men don’t switch. Many do and many don’t, this yaoi story revolve around men that don’t switch, which exists. In reality, many gay men prefer the “bottom” role or “top” role and I know this because I work at a club in West Hollywood. Even on Grindr ( a gay dating app) they say if they are a “top” or a “bottom.” My best friend is a gay man and he prefers only to top. He doesn’t switch with his partner. You can’t call them “not modern” or “not trying everything to enjoy himself” when he knows what he likes and that’s being a top. So I just wanted to put this out there and clear some things up.

No Im not new to yaoi actually! I do know that in real life people do prefer one thing or another and then they stick to it.
