How exactly my one comment equals shoving my ooion on other people...like also I agree with blue wholeheartedly Biss

I literally see you everywhere, not just under this comment. And you didn't stop with just ONE comment lol? You kept on justifying as to why you and the "others" are disappointed over the manga and kept on explaining how you disagree with my point that Tropes are EVERYWHERE. And that's not shoving your opinion?

Imo it had potential. Like I guess we will have to see maybe we will be surprised but it looks kinda cheap and tendentious to just after chapter when Nakyum was nearly gangraped... give us combo of sick,vulnera... Biss

Just agree to disagree and leave. Clearly you don't like how where this is heading and i don't think you're going to continue any further based from the amount of replies i saw from you regarding your opinion. If you don't like it, then there's no need for you to further explain why you don't like it right? Hope you have a nice day, and i hope you find a good read

I posted two OPs, commented on 2,3 post with similar views and interpretation to mine and commented on people complaining about others "hating" on the story.
    Sorry to disappoint

so for you to criticize something, do you also have to reply on other comments that does not agree with your point?

Let's agree that tropes are everywhere if we assume tropes are basic situations from real life like making friends.
But I think the "from rape to love" trope and "abuser having sobbing backstory that's why everything is forgiven" are cherry on the top and in the whole different category.
Making friends, boy meeting girl, it's all realistic. Characterisation of abuse in yaoi is just not.
The refreshing part is the setting of time ( gorgeous art is also nice)...but it's literally your the most typical yaoi just set in different times.

Dark posessive master without the whole part about falling in love for example would be much more refreshing.

i thought you were trying to criticize POTN? Criticizing something and engaging in a "discussion" is different. And then again, discussions are meant to at least open your eyes to the POV of others, but it seems like you don't want to at least accept our own reasons and you just joined a "discussion" to emphasize your own opinion. I can see why you don't like it, but if you don't like it, then go find something better, like i always say.

The ones i stated as an example of tropes were SOME of the mountains of types you can see in stories. You can't just compare a "realistic" trope and an "unrealistic" one at that, it won't prove your point, rather it just goes tk show that tropes vary in many different ways and does not range solely on rape and abuse. And like i said, I do agree that realistic depictions of certain situations are almost non existent in yaoi mangas, but that's just how it is. It's hard to nitpick Slice-of-life stories given that yaoi mangas rely too much on "yaoi logic"

There are maaaany tropes in this one
-Seme - manly, taller, muscular, confident, sensual
    - Uke- small, femine, delicate, blushing, teary)
    - from rape/abuse (kidnapping, beating) to love
    - repressed sexually virgin uke/ experienced, "playboy" seme
    - innocent,sweet,good,naive,gold heart uke/ badass,dark,sinister,possessive, "bad boy" seme
    - younger uke/ older seme
    - poor, lower class uke/ rich, high class, elite seme
    - "bad guy" seme with tragic past
    - seme with "daddy's issues"

But the whole discussion started with that this story has the most repetitive (and problematic) beside seme uke dynamics trope that happens in majority of yaoi and thats why we are disappointed because some of us hoped it will turn out more interesting. And unfortunately we got tropes which
Are super repetitive, problematic and some of them just unrealistic.

There's really nothing wrong with having opinions, but seeing people complain about the direction of the story update after update is really annoying, and i've seen several users who complained before and kept complaining until the most recent updates. Plus like many others have also said, before reading, they should check the tags, the premise, and make sure that they know what they're getting themselves into. First chapter already says A LOT about how things will go down.

maybe it won't hurt to just wait for the story to be completed and then decide whether or not it is like those other manhwas about an abusive seme and a delicate uke. Even though they utilized that kind of trope and it seems predictable, i'm still looking forward to the depth of the plot and their backstories ++ family issues. Because all of those aspects will set things differently for POTN compared to other yaoi manhwas with a super meh development with a cringy sobstory.

Well unlike some of you, i actually want to give the story a chance despite it being overly cliche. And it's just the beginning of Season 2, if i'm overestimating its potential, then you're underestimating the author and how they're going to steer the direction of the story in the future. Just because it contains cliché's doesn't mean that it can't be "different". The setting, the characters, their backstories, the side characters, their personalities has a big part in making POTN "unique" in its own way. Not entirely original, but it has its own charm.

stop with the moral ascendancy, like i said, a lot of readers can clearly draw a line with fiction and reality. people accept it as a part of the story, but that doesn't mean we enable rape irl. just because we don't have the same view means that you can start "shaming" others. and here i thought you wanted to be in a discussion lol, it ended up as a one-sided rant. DONT EXPECT REALISTIC DEPICTIONS IN YAOI STORIES, that' s just how it is, especially with the "yaoi logic" you mentioned before.

Tbh I'm not really enthusiastic after the newest chapter. Of course there will be some different additional threads but I have the feeling that the story will follow the most typical path (after what we have seen to this point and especially in today's chapter and all the rather cliché tropes the story contains) so basically: some redemption arc, Seungho protecting, saving NK, maybe chasing after him (if he will be kidnapped)... Maybe he will throw his title away and live in poverty with NK but happy because they are together (the supposed "bittersweet" ending). So the main typical plotline (the main points on it) would be still intact.
I guess we will see but new chapters don't offer too much optymism.

Oh silly me. Yes "protecting" part is already there.... Maybe we will get some more spectacular one in the future. So now all that's left is the continuation of redemption arc. And falling deeper in love (?).

I'm not sure how he is living so peacefully after being cut off and doing nothing but I'm not specialist of Korean history.
What's more... The marriage topic. Yoon should have had a wife for years at this age. Which is another rather unrealistic aspect which was completely avoided in the story.
