I think it's because that trial wasn't for Ebony's father's death, so even if the Archduke said that it wouldn't count at the time because that murder would need it's own trial for him to be imprisoned

Oh! That's kinda stupid. Who let a murder suspect roam free? Especially since his cover was blown. He could do whatever he wants to manipulate evidence or get rid of witness （/TДT)/
well I mean I'm sure he's being watched, and to witnesses we just have to wait for the next update but I think if he does do something it would just make him look hella sus
also his cover wasn't really blown since he wasn't caught red handed, but with what the Archduke said he now looks like a suspect and with his reaction it be easy to call him guilty ╮(￣▽￣)╭
