Because it’s an easy drama troupe, same as princes killing each other for the throne, many people will be interested and willing to read. Every good drama needs someone to be the villain.
Why do many of these Chinese authors always portray their FL/MC as literally the only decent female human being while she is surrounded by countless stupid jealous evil bitches whose purpose is to desire lust after the ML???!!!
