I totally relate with your point..... cause I also write.... I think the perfect way to put it is “familiarity causes it to loose value” you can’t feel suspense, get thrilled or none of that good stuff like connect with it because..... it’s your penned down thought anyway ... you know how the dominoes will fall so the genius behind the story is normalized for you.... whew! Sorry for the rant., I hope that made sense

Have you ever thought how the author and readers point of view sometimes matches and mostly doesn't? Think of it for a moment... Since the author has the power to manipulate his/her story as their own they may not be a able to feel what their readers would feel reading their works. But instead the author makes us feel something that was beyond what they want to convey. NGL if I were to make my own comic I would feel less attached to it but why is it that when I read my own work I feel so less attached to it but if other people beside me reads it, they got emotional or something... Is there something wrong?
