But it's actually a pretty accurate depiction of abuse. Unfortunately this is how it works, you feel helpless and don't think logically anymore, becasue of the fear. Look how he started isolating him too. Typical move for abusive relationships like this. So the victim is alone and feeling like there's no one that's on their side except for the abuser. It's very twisted and for people not involved might seem like not a big deal. Yeah, just say no, just leave etc. But in most cases they can't leave, because they believe they're completely alone and helpless. And that it's their fault people left them (like here, ML thought people were leaving because of him). It's frustrating to watch, but I think, for a story, this issue was shown pretty well. It gets better, and I think you'll find it very satisfying how it ends :)
That’s true. I am aware how abuse works. Guess I just oversimplified it but mostly I am just frustrated as a reader. I’m not the biggest fan of blackmail plots and despite saying it was an abusive relationship I looked at it more from that end. I may pick it back up but if this is plot point is a going to be a big part of the story for awhile then I’d rather not.

But I really hope these abusive relationships come to an end. Chanbit’s behavior annoys tf out of me. I low key wanna drop this bc I can’t stand it. Like you know this guys is lying saying just do as I ask and I won’t release the videos. You can’t be that damn naive. This will never end if you just keep going along with it. And the way he treats his manager is partly due to how the CEO trained him. He doesn’t know real love. If they both just came clean with each other it would help solve a lot of problems smh. I don’t want any spoilers but if the gets better soon just let me know that at least. Gonna take a break for now. Not sure if I’ll pick it back up. I need something fluffy and sexy smh.
