I dont think that's its cuz u have to look at it in perspective this last chapter was from when they first initially met so yh he probably fell in love but wat did the emperor then use is love as? An excuse to kill animals and ppl alike, an excuse to abuse this man both mentally and physically and finally as justification for getting him addicted to drugs and fvckin up his karma.
