I don't think she intended to get herself killed. She knows she can't be killed, that's the whole premise. It very likely as she said: she just wanted to be alone for a bit to think. Anyway, I'm starting to get really annoyed with all this skirting around the issue between the two of them. I wish they'd talk it out and get it over with and move on with the plot.

I think even if they talked it out. Cadiel's guilt and hate for elenor will not go away no matter how much he loves her. I think elenor already knew that and she knew. Also even if Cadiel somehow lets go of his past, those feelings and thoughts wouldn't just go away. I personally think their relationship was bound to be yeeted out the window because of their past T-T.
I mean, that's kind of a very possible, but I'm talking about the author dragging the skirting-around-each-other part.
