If you read the novel, it makes slightly more sense how others perceive him. Problem is, the translated novel in behind the translate manga, so don’t expect many spoilers. That being said, the novel (which is on novelupdates.com) does a significantly better job at describing her thought process, her relationships with others, her growth from being afraid of everything to being comfortable, other peoples take on the Duke, etc. I would read the first few chapters in the very least to get a better feel for all of the characters.
oh no thats not what i meant, i meant it in a superficial way like, how is he perceived as ugly? even if he doesn't take off the mask, he already feels handsome. so for the duke who sees his face and the rest who idk maybe they just assumed he's ugly or saw his face once and called him ugly, what do they see that the fl can't see ??
My guess it's a curse on his family. They themselves see themselves as a monster and not other people.
ok but the real question is wtf do they see in the ml ?? he's clearly handsome, so what are they seeing that our fl isn't seeing ?? and hoW ?!?
