Actually we can say that. This webtoon is not a cautionary tale made for awareness nor is it a perfectly historically accurate recount of a past time. It is a fictional romance written in present day which means that it has no excuses for glorifying/normalising pedophilia and/or grooming.

Also just because some societies lacked morals, education and the law was extremely flawed- doesn’t make men who preyed on children back then any less pedos. It wasn’t common for old men or even men in their 20s to chase after 12/13 year olds. There just wasn’t a law in place to protect children from predators since the law literally saw them as objects.
