Also... it's been many years for her since then, he wasn't really her son, neither by flesh nor soul. He was very attached to her but I don't think they loved each other as mother and son.
Again... no blood relations in the past nor present. And is not like she groomed him or was attracted to him in the first act. So I see no problems... ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
I know there's no blood relations but... she did raise him up as a son. They're officially considered mother and son. He refers to her as Imperial MOTHER. So for her to finish that timeline neatly, only to marry this same person in the next... I can't. (⊙…⊙ )
If we go by that point she shouldn't love/marry anyone else sin e in the second arc she married and stayed her full life there with her husband.
Maybe is cuz I read too many QT novels... but that body was considered his adoptive mother... not the one she is in now. Also, id like you to remember... a good 100 years has passed for her. She said herself that he became a fine man and that's how she sees him now... so is not really in the next.
Also, her mission IS to marry him... and she made sure he is not marrying her out of a mother's complex...
If you want a QT novel about revenge with not an ounce of romance I recommend Cannon fodder records of counterattack translated by butterflys curse. Else you'll probably see more of I raised u in one live love u in the next... even more so of the ML follows the FL through the many worlds... master, step father, cousin, uncle, adoptive son, adoptive brother, enemy, childhood friend... be it straight, bl or gl if there's romance there's one or more of those... ╮(￣▽￣)╭
So yeah... Cannon is my safe heaven for when i get tired of that sheet... xD
Am I the only one who feels awkward with the fact that the Emperor wants to marry her because she reminds him of his mother. I mean, she raised him as her son for decades, and in the next timeline, she's gonna be his wife. Um... (⊙…⊙ )
