The only one I would consider a “good” reason enough is the green haired brother. I go easier on siblings, not on parents though. Don’t even get me started on the dad. Many people invest in their kid’s education some kids don’t do well even if you spend a shit ton of money (Cause money can’t solve everything.) From a modern perspective he could’ve thrown all the money at her but he should’ve got her treated mentally before getting her educated or during education, of course I don’t expect him to know that. In the end, getting mad or disappointed over a kids low marks is typical, but it’s the way he dealt with that disappointment I’ll never respect. Then the abusive mom, well she’s pretty self explanatory and I’ve complained about her in other posts enough.

I think it was more than her low marks. The grandad I think was angry because she betrayed his trust, and was apparently violent with others at the same time kept trying to. Harm herself and other which eventually could have brought shame to the family... he only moved her out of the main house.... and yes the blue haired brother had the best reason I agreeSpoilers for those who don’t know*
On the blue hair brother 13 th bday she through a teacup full of tea at his head and it shattered injuring him. With blood flooding down... the translation wasn’t good but it seems like he said more than the cuts her throwing it at him hurt more emotionally. I think from them on he didn’t like her and I think it was that incident she had to move out of the main house..
The grandad did what was necessary to protect his family, and his other grandchildren I mean it wasn’t like didn’t he tried to support I think he was just at the end of his wits
I think the father is the most to blame he isn’t there so I don’t know why he hates her but so far it seems he hates her because she was a prostitue daughter. The brothers and grandfather had their reasons but the dad and step mom did not

More Spoilers...........................
Okay the thing with the step mom ends pretty fast and the relationship with her and her brothers and grandpa is really sweet
They feel super guilty about what she went through and punished everybody involved, spoil her
Went to buy her shoes hen she said she didn’t have any that fit
Pat her head and encourage her
Her and her grand father would walk to get her and she would support him, once she brought him to the carriage and he saw she would be could so he gave her his scarf
Another time he grand father acted cute with her was they got back from a walk and she fell asleep on his couch in his office and he covered her with his jacket the two brothers walked in and was like WTF is she doing sleeping here and the grandfather was just doing his work at the desk like a boss....
The grandfather was the first one to lower down his guard a little when she called him grandfather instead of elder... in the first part about the rotten salmon where he listened to her story shows he isn’t unfair and he stands with justice.

Ah it makes sense from that perspective. It still bothers me they were never a little curious for the reason as to “why” they never even hired anyone to investigate her living conditions and physical health until it was too late. But I assume they trusted the mom so from their perspective there was no need.

I think the only bad thing that the grandpa and brothers did was not send someone to investigate why she is behaving like that but I guess it pretty normal.,.
I mean how many parent nowadays sends someone to investigate why their kids act a certain way......... they don’t usually, it’s either that’s just their personality or they are going through puberty or a phase so that’s probably why they never even thought she would be bullied because who would dare to bully a child in their family
Spoiler alert
Her family seems cruel but that not the full story.... it seems like they didn’t know she was being bullied or beaten..... to them they trusted her with a big responsibility of managing the household But she always messed but and hated them and was gloomy and scared of them...
It seems one by one all their trust in her was betrayed... like the blue haired brother flashback it looks like she made a mistake and caused him to have an injury.. that’s why she was moved from the main house and the keys was taken away
This was probably the schemes of the step mother... they didn’t hate or treat her bad they just did not know why she hated them and always acted gloomy and distanced and kept making mistake
The grNdfather built her a whole kitchen, enrolled her to the best culinary school, so she could take over the household which gives her the most power as explained but she betrayed them
It wasn’t until later they found out she was being abused.. they had no part in abusing her, they did give up on her but I think they had a well enough reason on their perspective they each had their own responsibility and it wasn’t like they hated her in the first place they didn’t trust her. She by herself didn’t have confidence and made countless mistakes which could be vital in the household so they took the job away. And she kept trying to kill herself and would get violent with people around her as well as throwing tantrums and they didn’t know why
