Remember that this is a medieval setting, the grandma has grown thinking that way, just like we were created thinking otherwise. It's sad to drop just because of her sayings when the grandma didn't do anything bad at all. She just expressed her opinions, just like we did.
While it is true to the setting, nothing about this story is empowering to women. It's not just the characters, I get the vibe that the author feels this way as well. It's just not worth reading to me anymore. I'mma go watch Harley Quinn
the grandma isn't wrong in the sense that the MC needs to be more careful since she is not strong enough to protect herself but I just hate the way the grandma words everything and how "she needs to let a man protect her" and it's just gross I'm dropping this.
