Ikr, past or not he still is a rapist. That is a fact. If not a rapist then he manipulates. Past or not no one can change that. That's like saying if a 50 yr old man kidnapped and murdered 5 females it can be justified with his past. I do know that the example I just gave is extreme but it still puts out a point.
