I totally agree on everything you said. What I'm about to say has nothing to do with the period situation but don't only talk about Regan. I mean most of us including myself are pretty pissed at him but Ingrid was a pretty shitty person at one point as well. She was really fucking selfish and hypocritical. She's like almost 87% better tho lmao she DID admit her mistakes I'll give her that.
Oh yeah I absolutely agree. I really didn’t like Ingrid in the beginning either. But I think it’s important to remember that she did give him a choice to back out and he ultimately decided to stay with her. Now that they’re stuck together, the least he can do is try and make peace with her but sigh he’s just so insecure. Desperately looking for some character development.

I don’t understand why people are upset with Ingrid being mad? Y’all must have forgotten Regan’s sh*tty behavior. Go back and reread starting from chapter 38, and you’ll see that REGAN has been acting up this whole time.
He got upset that she won’t sleep with him even though she told him she was tired (does he just see her as a sex doll?). Instead of apologizing for breaking the piano, he first tries to lie and ban her from playing. When he’s exposed, he tries to justify his sh*tty actions. ALL IN FRONT OF A GUEST, which is BEYOND humiliating. She was patient with him that whole time.
Oh but it doesn’t end there... he puts the cherry on top by accusing her of adultery on literally NO BASIS. And when she finally blows up, y’all call her a b*tch??? Anyone would’ve blown up on Regan, even if they weren’t on their periods. It’s like y’all expect women to just endure everything and never get mad lol. Ingrid should not have to sit through and suffer just because Regan is insecure.
And then onto periods. “She should’ve just told him” is such a privileged thing to say. In 2020, it’s (somewhat) normal to openly talk about periods, but this isn’t 2020 we are talking. Back in those days, women had no rights, and periods was a forbidden subject. IN FACT, in many civilizations, periods were used to OPPRESS women because it was considered to be the way of purging the devil from a woman’s body every month. THAT’S THE TIME FRAME WE ARE WORKING WITH HERE PEOPLE. The reason why you can talk freely about your menstrual problems now is because of all of the feminist movements in the last century. Compared to how life was like hundreds of years ago, us women have it a LOT better now. Please take a history lesson and then put yourself in Ingrid’s shoes.
