Sorry, that came out weirdly, I meant that like Isis by herself couldn't have done anything. Also, she had a lot more to lose at the time. Her throne, her child's safety and all of that. So really she wasn't thinking about Seth as much as her own wellbeing and her child's wellbeing, which isn't selfish because she can't put Seth before herself and all of that.

Plus, Sekhmet manipulated Seth's emotions. Isis didn't have the drive to do anything to Osiris until after he died.

The fact is Isis didn't have a child at that time!
If you reread it you'll know she conceived Horus after she escaped Seth.. She and that green goblin Osiris have nasty nasty after she rejected Seth and escaped and then after the sex (nasty nasty) that a**hole just returned to Duat (I don't know how that dead pig managed to have sex even after his death and even able to make someone pregnant but yeah he did) and she hid herself to protect the child from Seth..

Yeah, that's true Horus was born after Osiris' death, and she should've gone back and somehow helped Seth after he committed genocide of women? Hunted her down? She's not all-powerful, if she was she'd do something by now, but she can only meddle. That being said you can dislike her, but not understanding the reasons why she can't help Seth and why she holds such animosity towards him doesn't help anyone better understand the story. (Not saying this is you specifically)

She does have to help Seth.. bt the least she could do was stop her f** mouth from victim blaming,, she herself saw her "Innocent and lovable" husband raping some other man and then went and cursed that man.. she could have cursed the true culprit aka the green goblin Osiris,, why she had to curse the victim of her husband?? (Now don't start with she cursed herself too,,,she can do whatever harm she wants to herself,, her wish,, she can't to others, especially a victim.. and what genocide you mentioned obviously it happened after she cursed that very victim,, she and her husband made Seth a tyrant.. yes Seth became a tyrant..others can blame Seth for his crimes,, bt these two disgusting man and woman don't get to blame him for anything )

She knows how her husband got Seth's wife pregnant,, she knows her husband forced Seth by taking hostage of Anubis's soul and then she goes and Curses Seth so that he cannot get what he desires the most (family and Anubis),,why curse him so cruelly?.. she knows how Seth was betrayed by everyone,, yet she behaves as if he's the one betrayed everyone..why?? .. and I wanna add,, Isis didn't have the drive to do anything to Osiris even after he died.. I recall when when the competition between Seth and Horus first started and Osiris appeared she ran to his arm and complained the jury how unjustly Seth killed her innocent king (I felt bad for her watching that Osiris was still eyeing Seth when he was embracing her into a hug at that time)
And I'm not saying it's you especially,, but supporting her with invalid reasons (she had to lose a lot,,her throne,, had a child to protect a non-existent child then etc etc when she had already lose everything the moment her husband betrayed her before her open eyes) doesn't help anyone better understand the story.. I want to understand the story.. Cam you help me with my questions?

I mean you pretty much got the gist of it. However, this is just a modernization of the real myth. I'm not so much supporting her per se, I just want people to understand that if anything she's a little more than a victim-blaming bitch. Maybe she feels he betrayed everyone, most specifically her, due to the whole femicide and hunting her down? (This is from now not back when because I'm going to die trying to find out with my two brain cells why she did that then, I can only guess

Personally, I want to see more of Ma'at and Hathor. I personally don't completely understand Isis, I know that for some reason however that Isis is the author's favourite. Now, this could mean the author is a horrible person who supports victim-blaming (which in Korea, a very PATRIARCHAL society encourages) or there's something else to her character we haven't gotten yet. We haven't even reached Isis' most powerful in actual myths, which is when she tricks Ra into giving her his secret name. So really her role is meant to be similar to Sekhmet, except Isis has more revealed while Sekhmet is still more in the dark

In the end, you can dislike Isis, I don't really like her either. Maybe expect better character development in the future? I don't know.

I'm happy to see you get to understand my points,,I mean I was thinking if I was rude to you or anything.. I don't wanna hurt ppl with my words as long as they don't step on my toes first..
Isis is I suppose most of the author's favorite who deal with myth in their writing.. I read Henry Rider Haggard's books and I found he drew her as a symbol of power, beauty and honor etc..
