That's where you are making a mistake. It's not that Kangwoo didn't love Jeonghan the way he wanted. It's basically he never gave any indication that he loved him at all. He didn't even say "I like you", forget "I love you" in 8 years. Jeonghan initiated the relationship and he kept it going. Kangwoo just coasted along without ever saying or showing that he loves Jeonghan. So this one is definitely on Kangwoo. Jeonghan let it go for 8 years because he was scared that if he asked "Do you actually love me?" the relationship will end. He lived in fear of being abandoned any moment for 8 years.
Like, everyone would assume their parents love them. But if your parents never tell you that for 8 years, wouldn't you start wondering? That's not something that someone needs to tell Kangwoo about.
So true.. I can't understand why every one is hating him so much.. anyone will feel uncertain in that position.. Jeonghan like all of us wanted to be loved and to show to everyone that he is in a relationship , Kangwoo acted like just coworkers outside of the house and never told him about his feelings.. poor uke was saying constantly that he likes/loves him but never got a clear answer.. Gyutea did exactly what he was looking for, telling him like he likes him and wasn't afraid of being in public affection..
