its because they are poor they cant afford to buy protective measures. (mayb illiterate) and they are not very knowledgable about how to raise them and take proper responsibilty for their children. in some point they might even think of them as burden thats why in india girl childs are killed even before they are born because they have to raise them and when they get married they have to pay a huge amount of money to the groom as dowry.
I hate that parents do that to their oldest kids! Those kids should not be raising their siblings! plus if you poor wtf would you have more kids and put more pressure on your child to help you raise them I wouldve left too
