That's why I liked Death is the Only End so much better. Novel had mc not forgiving her neglectful step father and brothers. She ends up with the prince but wants to live her own life so she goes traveling after all the drama ends. She simply moves on with her life and it was beautiful

Neglect from her own FAMILY is far worse than abuse from outsiders imo. They shouldn't get a free pass. If mc hadn't come, she would've continued to suffer a life worse than death. Suddenly "caring" because she's "changed"? I call bs! Stanky BS!
