the king's maker is a really good one! it is bl, but the plots are similar to that of Astina's rise to power :)

I wanted to read a manga with a strong female role like this

The closest I can think of in terms of manga/manhwa with strong female leads similar to Astina would be:
1. Adonis (aka Reminescence Adonis)
2. Light & Shadow

And here's a couple of others I've come across but they hit differently in terms of a strong female lead:
1. Your Throne (for free on Webtoons)
2. Raise wa Tanin ga Ii
3. 101st Female Protagonist
4. Priscilla's Marriage Request
5. Shadow Queen
6. White Blood
7. Peerless Alchemist

I'd throw in Innocent Rouge as well. It's the sequel to Innocent (Sakamoto Shinichi) though so u wld have to go through Innocent first. It's a much heavier read than all the mangas/manhwas I've listed above.
