From what I remember the cousin is using both of them. Something against his uncle being the successor as his father suffered. So really he deserves everything he gets because he's a manipulative snake.

Honestly ivonas cousin deserves better. Of course he’s a shitty asshole who’s also probably a part of a main antagonist but mister “golden summoner” (sorry I forgot their names) is even worse. Why would you scream at your boyfriend because something didn’t go your way? I feel like ivonas cousin is so hopelessly in love that he doesn’t realize that mr blond baron is a toxic partner.
