If you see a delinquent in yaoi by default they’re uke especially when it’s delinquent and X whatever love interest. It’s like a diamond if the delinquent is seme. I think it’s the gap moe juxtaposition of personality and sexual position. At this point the emasculation of him is “what’s funny” so I’ve gotten just tired of The delinquent Trope because it’s operates under sexism as comedic.

In summary most yaoi is delinquent uke. It’s often because it’s suppose to be funny that this “tuff guy” is the one being fucked. Not that naturally he’d desire to bottom. Where they bottom and really want to bottom, or are just indifferent to what sexual role they take on is very few. I read yaoi for years and have reads hundreds if not thousands and it’s a very formulaic genre. If something works an author won’t for the most part won’t change it. It’s become ingrained as a trope and then later a cliched characteristic. Seriously just go look. There’s of course are some delinquent seme. But other than a few can you name 10 that isn’t the delinquent is seme when it’s not a delinquent x delinquent plot. You just learn to see the patterns and once you do it just becomes either Uninspired or desensitized. It’s not a bad trope but I dislike because it’s purposely done to emasculate the character/ feminize as a joke
