In Kai and Luard’s original story the afterwords did mention that they will be having twins. But I guess it did not go canon since there is only one kid here

I think you’re referring to the translators note at the end of chapter 4 of kai’s story. That was just a short fanfic one of the translators wrote. The author hasumi Hana never mentioned Kai and Luard having twins
