Yeah, this is awful... Or maybe these bearded men didn't necessarily actively rape him, but perhaps he was dragged everywhere by his father to find the "cure" to his illness, so he was seeing all these doctors and bearded men againat his will. Maybe they were also brought back home to treat him, and all these treatments and "medicines" fucked up his psyche.
