I don’t know if it can get more depressing than this haha...
Ngl though I don’t feel hatred towards his father (yet). It’s not their fault that they thought homosexuality was an illness and “something wrong with the head”. They were products of the era and society. Hell, even now you can still be arrested for holding a gay wedding in a lot of countries.
If you don’t know what conversion therapy is, please google it.
My guess is:
- Seungho and Jihwa were caught playing around while exploring their sexuality as young teens.
- Seungho’s father forced him into treatment, so they probably tried a ton of herbal medicine that eventually got to his head. Plus the isolation and confinement.
- All those factors turned Seungho into the tyrant he is.
- Jihwa mustn’t have had it easy either. So he kept the distance and maybe gave up on the idea of a romantic relationship with SH. But he still believed he’s the one closest to SH’s heart, given everything they shared and experienced together.
- Now that he sees SH change and show affection for Nakyum it’s literally killing him.
Bruh no one is going to be happy.
