The emperor just acted so rashly without even knowing the truth first...so stupid and he’s an emperor!!! He could’ve done it differently. That palace builder likes him, such a waste of a gud start then it went the wrong turn.

Well he asked him the truth. Heun didn't say it. Though I agree he acted rashly but u must realise if the uke had told the truth that day, it could all have been different.

Even when he couldn’t say anything, I think it would be wise to check the facts first with what actually happened. He could just as easily investigate with his power. But to go as far as beating him up injuring his leg because of jealousy, he’s out of his mind.

The uke couldn’t say anything because 5 lives of men are on the line if he did. He wasn’t thinking only about himself.

Well that's it. Those 5 men were sent by his brother. Think of the men that emperor killed later on. Lol. That is what I am saying. The uke thought he was doing the best at that time but when u know it all and look at the whole future, it could've been different if he said the truth. Besides I totally agree that the emperor acted rashly as I stated earlier.

Plus think as an emperor. U like someone and that someone has a relationship with his brother and was supposedly planting spies in ur domain. He as an emperor had every power and let jealousy take over him. What he did later on may all be wrong and bastardy but here in this scenario, I feel uke had a bit more responsibility. He should've said the truth.

I don’t see the point in blaming the uke for this. First of all, he denied those men being spies.

And as you were saying, if only he told the emperor the truth: What? His incestuous relationship w/ his bro? Him being raped by his own brother? As humiliating as that sounds, I dunno man if that’s something you could just as easily disclose to anyone, just putting myself in his shoes. Aside from him being a noble, that’s a big scandal, not only their family’s reputation is on the line but other repercussions too. It’s a rather heavy and complicated issue to tackle right on the spot if you’re asked that. So of corz, he couldn’t say anything. And there goes this hotheaded emperor acting on his own poor judgment when all he had were assumptions.

“Think of the men the emperor killed later on” — Uke knows nothing of the emperor’s nature from the beginning. This is their backstory, telling us that if he had known what would’ve happened, he wouldn’t have come there. I understand that the emperor can kill anybody he wants, but don’t put the blood of those people in the uke’s hands. The emperor is responsible for those deaths, not him. The emperor’s possessiveness and obsession driving him extremely mad - these things are not uke’s responsibility, it’s HIS.

It’s kinda funny to me that uke’s only intention was to build a palace, they’re not even in a relationship. Then that happened. It all started to go bad from there, from just a little misunderstanding coz the other guy’s a psycho and a greedy bastard.

Well those are just my thoughts. (⌒▽⌒)
We all might have different opinions and I also get your point, that it could have been avoided if he only told him straight.

Well that's exactly it miss. That's what I have been saying all along. The uke thought all this shit in his head and saved 5 men by lying, and also his pride. But what about the pride he lost after that? What about the deaths after that? If he just said the truth this one time, do u know how big of a change everything it could've been? He clearly was thinking good for some ppl.
And the psycho greedy bastard u mentioned was clearly not that way from the start. His integral as well as intellect can totally be deciphered from his success as an emperor. It all went wrong because of his obsession. Do u remember the night they drank together he didn't force the uke to have sex with him? So it clearly all went wrong from after here when he thought the bro and uke were in relationship. Well it's his fault to give in to obsession but then again one truth could possibly have changed that.
That is what I am saying. I get ur point. Even the uke didn't know how this lie changed everything. But regardless his one lie take all to drain. Besides his character as an emperor was upheld very appropriately by the author. Cruel, obsessed, meriless that would be the result of an emperor after obsession and I am quite impressed the author didn't hesitate to show any of that to make this some cute fluffy romance. Even more than the uke, it's the emperor's character that bring flavor to this story. I would've been even happier if the emperor had been the mc but I guess the author cleverly adopted for POV changes.

With how the emperor’s true attitude surfacing, we still cannot safely assume that even if the uke told him everything at first glance, he wouldn’t act the way he viciously did in the future.

Uke didn’t lie, by the way. He dealt with what he think is ryt at the time (you can’t predict the consequences). The emperor’s action is out of his control and he doesn’t know, actually nobody knows what’s gonna happen in the future (those deaths). That’s why, I believe it isn’t justifiable for the uke to be blamed for all this.

I get that you want to defend the emperor that if it wasn’t for the uke stuff like that, nevertheless, when you truly care for someone whatever era or whatever position you might have, you wouldn’t inflict violence to that someone unless you’re sick in the head. Yeah, I agree that the emperor’s character flaws make the story a little bit intriguing as to why we want to uncover their history bout how they ended up the way they did. It makes one for a plot.

Well maybe too much emotional ppl like u might not understand. But if it was me and I found my crush fooling around with his brother, supposedly planting spies, denying the accusation but not telling the truth, when I am an emperor. I would also have taken him a prisoner. Those 5 who r in my territory r my enemies and if that crush is protecting them then he is an enemy too. I r just too much on the ukes side.
I don't think here emperor had any fault. Whatever happened after may all be blamed on him. But here it all goes to dear uke. Though as I said he ofc didn't know the future but emperor isn't that much at fault here. I ain't defending him. I am just looking at the overall picture. Its actually easy to sympathize with the uke, but believe me miss u need to have a gr8 deal of idiocy to lie to the face of an emperor after being blamed for planting spies. It only furthur proves u r wrong. And emperors don't bother. He would've been dead, if it were me and he would be responsible for his own death since he didn't tell the truth. My crushes don't make me know his character. What if he was acting all along. I don't think the emperor was supposed to know the guy is good.
