Can’t she just run away? Like from the house, and never come back.

Honestly, I feel like they'd hunt her down. It's kinda sad

I'm pretty sure in the novel its revealed she did try to run away once or a few times as a child and the family stopped her and completely ignored the fact that she was trying to escape them and forced her to stay.
