I think that the "disease" was being gay and when him and jihwa started a relationship his father was so mad that enclosed him. And i think that he had to suffer a lot when he was banned from coming out, he might have been abused or beaten, that situation was what made him so emotionally unstable due to trauma and ptsd. That would make sense with the insomnia and stuff too. I hope that, if im correct, he starts to deal with his emotions and start feeling better soon :ccc
