I looked at a spoilers thread and this is what someone said So apparently his mother came to his father (the emperor, not the ML but his dad) as a spy and when he found out the emperor (ML’s dad) raped her in front of ML.
His mother raised and trained him solely to get revenge and he worked hard because he had the impression his mother loved him. After he found out she didn’t.
His mother dies and the emperor uses her corpse as a puppet with magic or something. He(ML) and the emperor are the only ones who know this.
For the sake of her revenge he disguises as a woman and hides his ability.
Eventually when he becomes emperor he’s a tyrant that slaughters anyone he sees are opposition unilaterally
I see thanks for the info. As traumatic as it is I don't believe it's a reason to kill innocent people and destroy lives. Hence why I'll probably drop this after the next chapter. I'm honestly quite curious about the blue haired girl
Some of y'all really be some masochists how tf is this acceptable?? The only way I'll accept the Emperor being the ML if its something like Lady to Queen and I only dealt with it bc the FL deserved some happiness
