no. it’s in the exact order . they just make it short here than in the novel . that’s why it’s hard to follow up a little . they rush it .

I was so confused. Like what happened to the ape girl? How did she find out she came from another world? And what was that all about with the tiger king? Did he mean that he was still going to follow Quinquin or did he get bamboozled? So confused!

ape girl? you mean the ape kings wife? she’s not ape, she’s a mermaid who the ape king kidnap from the mermaid clan (more like she volunteers to be kidnap). ape king has the power to see the future but the things that bai qing bring disaster is just his make up stories bc he want her to die. the tiger king will be one of her husband don’t worry. although it’s bad of how it happened but the 1st daughter came from the tiger.
