They never reconciled and Ruyi died. She was not even given a proper empress burial rightfully fit for her and the emperor lived like a widower until his old age and then died.
And he completely deserved it. The emperor in that drama was absolute trash. Ruyi deserved 100x more than him.
Yeah, the higher their status got the wider the gap in their relationship.
Can someone spoil me about this please? I'm having a "Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace" vibe in this whole story especially with the emperor and I don't like it. I mean I loved the series, it was great but it left me so heartbroken and I'm sure as hell not yet ready to get the same heartache from this work. Thanks!!!!
