But the Mac reflects on most of the things you talked about he knows his reactions were exaggerated due to his feelings and feels bad but now is trying to stop that and his friend didn’t know that the male lead was part of the mafia he only assumed based of his looks and if he wasn’t part of the mafia that would be very offensive it’s because of people like his friend that he’s in the mafia in the first place

I mean it’s basically said that it’s obv he’s in the mafia just by the way he looks even the Mc says that He looks shady the first time he saw him for no reason apart from his looks whatsoever and is basically certain that he’s in the mafia with no further proof. But yeah I’m on chapter 25 now and yeah nvm Sang hwa is alright, good thing he was self aware.
See sang hwa is aware of his is possible ties to mafia and stay with his despite that but ryun ha didnt know amything about him and just assumed he was shady bc of his looks thats never ok especially if it someone your dear friend talked highly of why would you friend hang out so much with someone that shady and if he was that shady and you really cared about your friend youd see how happy he makes sang hwa and he hasnt even done anythign sang hwa or anyone around him so really ryun hah was being bitch
I mean yeah I see your points but sang hwa was never told abt his ties to the mafia or anything, he assumed it the first time he saw him just like ryu han did, the difference lies in their reactions.
And yeah I already said that my post wasn’t abt ryu Han but about sang hwa’s personality in the beginning instead (bcs after reading the remaining chapters i saw that sang hwa admitted to his jealous behavior).
But in the defense of ryu han, from his perspective: his friend started suddenly distancing himself from him for no reason, and felt like he was being replaced by this new Hyung in his life, and when he meets him he sees a shady guy and gets concerned for his friend mingling with a bad crowd, mix that with the jealousy he felt and you get his outburst at the train station and later in the streets. Not a the best reaction, his actions weren’t commendable but not evil either
Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying Ryuh Han is evil I’m just saying he’s not a good friend or a good best friend at least I have a best friend and I would never do the stuff ryuh han does to sang hwa being someone best friend mean you guys are close close enough to tell when the other party is uncomfortable or happy or sad but judging from what I’ve seen ryuh Han can barely tell any of these where as the male lead even after just recently befriend him can tell when he’s distressed which mean it’s a friend diff on ryuh han part not saying he’s evil he’s just a bad best friend and sang he’s him self isn’t perfect but he working on what Evers he’s lacking on as the story progresses

Wah I really don’t like the Mc’s personality.. until now, for me, he just seems like a celf centered guy that wallows in self pity after shutting himself off from others, and is oversensitive to his friend‘s actions bcs of his inferiority complex (gets mad at his friends popularity but refuses his invitations when he tries to include sanghwa In his new group of friends) and expectations due to his unrequited feelings (ryu Han wanting to eat pancakes with his girl but still politely accepting sanghwa’s even after stuffing himself with them earlier).
like maybe the author’s gonna turn the friend into the bad guy in the end, but in their flashbacks sanghwa gets mad over the most random stuff that are normal situations between friends for the most part (not liking their significant other bcs of obv red flags that the friend chooses to ignore and proceeds to get heartbroken in the end anyway).
Sanghwa seems to always be racing to be Ryuhan’s number 1 and is disappointed and hurt bcs not only does his friend have other friends, but is also a straight guy that is attracted to ~girls~, which Sang Hwa ~isn’t~. But then sang hwa proceeds to get all pikachu faced everytime Ryu Han doesn’t treat him like he would treat a lover.
Moreover ryuhan doesn’t seem to be angry at him having friends he doesn’t know, he’s just uncomfortable with the mafia guy bcs well... he’s in the mafia. and that’s shady and scary business.
Like what is sanghwa so overdramatic for omg, I know you love him but that’s a you problem. It’s not like he confessed and ryuhan was being inconsiderate.
And look maybe the author is gonna turn ryuhan into this toxic guy by the end so this isn’t abt him or anything, it’s just the MC’s personality that I can’t stand rn. He’s not the poor little soul he makes himself out to be.
