Interesting reflexion, I do agree it kinda feels out of place. For me it goes to far for an otherwise "kinda" realistic or might hearted depiction of a relationship. I mean, everyone else is pretty down to earth, and this guy goes "Ur mInE i goNA rApE u"...

This has been such a relatively happy fic, so to have such violence come out like this is actually terrifying. Most sexual assault scenes are either brushed under the rug, happen so often they lose their impact, are blatantly sexual so the violence and horror of the act is undermined, or happen in a work that already has other/a bunch of traumatic shit going on you kind of just expect a rape to be added to the list; however, none of the rumors or bullying we’ve seen so far compare to Dojin, a character we’ve all come to love and can identify as a truly good person, about to get assaulted at knife point by what should be one of his best friends. Like, seriously nothing in this work besides the previous couple of chapters prepared us for this, and even then I didn’t expect it to be so...chilling.
