Idk about the novel, but the manga is honestly in danger because of the mangaka’s health issues... also, seems like Hoshino completely abandoned the original story lolololol just imo. But yeah, as we can all see, it updates one chapter every three months so it’s really hard to grasp when this would finish because there’s still many mysteries unsolved. We’re nowhere near end yet.

I think the novel is Lost Fragments of Snow, it's about Allen's past with Mana and meeting with the Earl, I heard.
I don't know either about Hoshino abandoning the original story. I know she has health issues and it's why we have one chapter every 3 months or so but I don't know anything else. I'm kinda worried now.

I'm positive she won't rush it. The author always seemed to care a lot about the story and refused every offer for another artist to take up the drawing. I've re-read it fully recently and I'd say that the "original" story wasn't abandoned there are clues about things getting revealed now in way older chapters.

It’s published every three months because it’s published in Square Crown which only releases that often. I do believe, though, that sensei started publishing there due to her health, but also creative differences. I read some issue she had with a previous publisher a while ago. Also, sensei hasn’t abandoned 5e original story. I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that she had the whole overall story worked out already, from early on in publishing. It’s mostly her wrist that bothers her, and it seems like she can keep up four releases a year, so I don’t think this will be abandoned.
So how many more chapters or volumes can we expect judging by the story?? Has the author said anything about how far this is gonna go or is left?
