we could be right but we could also be wrong but at the same same time things are just going in circles so what we can hope is that our precious characters here (whoever they are cuz it could also be lehman including empress, emperor and mia) will be ok and not evil but we will still cry anyways and we dont want that

I think that Leham is behind the whole attack on the Empress, if you're going to ask "Then why did he try to protect her?" Its probably because he wanted to trick her into thinking that he was someone to be trusted.
