I don't think it's him though. Like from his conversations and thoughts of things like "more research needed" "need to investigate more" etc, they seem very new to the planet. Like they have just started to try conquering Earth and are planning a long term operation.
But, if this theory is true, then that begs the question who killed the OG rangers, how did they get their powers etc?
Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part that the general didn't hurt black rangers old teammates

Maybe it was the old generation that did it.. the general might be new.to.this too. Or maybe he's like those mellowed grandpas from animes who are super chill now but also badass. Like Iroh or that old dude from bleach
