i know! its like he's trying to make himself feel better after she dies or sumthing THE NERVE!
I do agree he doesn't deserve her... but it was not just that. Part of the reason is how her life would be at risk outside the palace...
I mean... yeah... he must have felt like sheet getting to know how much she was actually suffering and that shes dying.
Yeah he's selfish... but I'd feel worse if getting to know that didn't change his opinion and attitude towards her...

i hate how selfish her father acts. he wants to at least try to have a better relationship with her before he sends her away? to make her remember the palace as something else than a lonely prison like she was awaiting the death sentence? just for his selfish desires? how dare he choose what's good for her? a failure of a father like him has no rights to try to make up with her after 19 years. and that just because she's going to die? selfish bastard.
