what if there is a plot twist where the author decide that the uke is not really dead? I mean it's all a made up so the uke and the seme can live happily ever after(?)
If it's not, then it's really a surprise when the author told the ending in the very first chapter.

You're not the only one trying to stay positive.I also don't want to believe the UKE is truly dead because whyyyy they both need healing
