There's actually real world correlation to people having their mental age this stunted from time being in mental institutions or prisons, particularly from such a young age. She literally doesn't know how to be a human, much less an adult. She learned etiquette from books I think but it would cover proper etiquette not basic human stuff so she would know manner for greeting nobility but not something like how to hold a real conversation.

i'm not even asking her to be smart or to be a mature adult. i just don't understand why they threw in that whole "reincarnation!" part if they're never going to address it or make it have any significance/relevance to the MC. it feels like even the MC herself has forgotten that she will be killed when she is older. literally the only choice she has made was at the very beginning, to run away.
even if she's mentally young, i still believe she should at least have some of her own thoughts and/or decisions??? like other than running away at the beginning, she has done basically nothing. it's just other people doing this and that for her and her being surprised. and what i'm more confused about is why they threw in the whole reincarnation part of it. reincarnation manga is literally about redeeming yourself/changing yourself to be better, but the MC isn't doing any of that. even with a 7 yr old mentality she should be able to think "how can i avoid getting killed?" or "what can i do, now that i'm 7 again?"
again, there's a world of difference between being innocent/naive and then just being a fish. what's the point of her being the MC if she's not going to do or say or think anything?

Yes, I do understand that her mental age has suffered due to abuse. However, it shouldn’t have reverted back to the mental age of a five year old. It seems to me that the fl was much more mature before she reincarnated. Also, the fl has been through a lot of abuse and trauma. How come she’s still so innocent and naive? You’d expect for someone who went through so much to be the opposite, just speaking from personal experience.
Yeah I completely agree, it seems that after the fl has reverted back to being a seven year old, her intelligence has also decreased to a seven year old’s. It just seems so illogical to me that someone who has the mental age of a 18 year old, who had plans of freedom and living a happy life, instead just plops down in the duke’s hall doing nothing. This is giving me one of those otome mc vibes where the female protagonist just magically has everything go her way, instead of doing anything herself to reach her own goals. If she’s been abused, shouldn’t she know even more not to trust people and rely on them? I’ve seen in other stories similar to this where the fl is the complete opposite, even after going through a lot of abuse. (The monster duchess is an example)
that's such a good point. she wanted to be free and happy, (like that's literally why she was reincarnated) but does absolutely nothing. and i feel like it's just lazy art cuz she literally has :O face all the time (does the artist not know how to draw other facial expressions for this one character?). the art's good and the style is normal but lkekgslhkejfh why'd they do the mc like that T-T
not really about the plot, but like... wasn't it implied that she travelled back in time from 18yrs to 7yrs?? how come we don't see any of her thought processes or an ounce of maturity?? even the duncest of reincarnation mcs i've read about have some kinda plan as to what they're doing... even the whole naive "i will become this super this-and-that!" at least they're trying something?
