Biting your tongue

My mom always says to me that when you bite your tongue, that means you're going to eat a really good meal soon. She used to live in the village and usually only ever had tofu (not that she dislike tofu tho) with her rice, so biting your tongue meant that you would soon eat a meal with meat in it. So idk, but maybe something really good will happen soon?

Really? In our home, my mom says someone is talking about you when you bite your tongue.

I think the definition that your fam uses is more common. I think my mom says the one she does because she grew up without eating a lot of meat so it's probably a more niche belief in her area/family.
