Depends on the time period. Part of health issue is female health, and reproductive health - having it so constricted was also blamed not just fainting. See they literally drew that maid used to tighten as much as they could - with zero care. Hence thats an issue - they aren't showing that maids are putting them on "comfortably" - they are showing actual issue of doing them up WAAAAAY too tights - which causes health concerns.
Okay, I'm not here for the realism but that corset thing was a bit of a stretch
