That annoyed me so much! So many people saying "yOu cAn'T bLaMe tHeM, tHeY dIdN't kNoW" when they were well aware of the tensions between them, and knew the step mom liked to start shit. But instead of looking into it, they just dismiss her as being dramatic with her moods, lack of effort, and SUICIDE ATTEMPT! These were calls for help goddamnit. And then they have the nerve to act like a caring family with their "poor baby sister/g-daughter" when she's a more agreeable person with talent. Feel so bad for OG sieanna :(
Also: "negligence is also a form of abuse" Yes! SAY IT LOUD FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK.
Remember the chapter when Sienanna ask for the kitchen key and the first brother ask her if she knew the reason the step mother mistreated her? Sienanna think it was because she hated her but the first brother said it wasn't, but the step mother think of her as a threat to her position, and then the grandfather scolded the first brother for choosing side and helping Sienanna cause he think it useless to invest on incompetent person. I think the family knew she was mistreated by the stepmother but they just didn't know the detail and didn't bother to find out.
