I'm not complaining about how they're speaking but more on the translation or the author's use of the word. It just threw me off a bit, I was immersing in a 1500 Japan vibe. Well, it doesn't really bother me that much but if you still don't get it, idrc. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

I feel the same way when it comes to science and health being portrayed in the wrong ways in manga and other fictional works.

I find a manga I enjoy and then BAM! One tiny detail is off and it just makes me pause and take a deep breath to recenter myself. I still enjoy it though.

So I think I get what you mean about the use of that word in the wrong period.

Lol I was thrown off too. I’m not picky about word choice, but I thought it was odd that the translators wouldn’t use a more formal word like reputable or credibility. I just think colloquialisms and modern slang wouldn’t fit in this context. If it was a shoujo set on a college campus, maybe my opinion would be different lol.
