This story is very very far from KS. STOP COMPARING. Kang Moo maybe a psychopath but he's a functional one. While Kirin don't just nod and wave. He's sane. He says no when he don't feel like it.
KS are two people beyond repair while this story is a very interesting way of entering the life and mind of a functioning psychopath. Someone who don't just kill for the sake of killing. Kang Moo is way too smart to be compared to someone so dysfunctional as Sangwoo.

EXACTLY!! Sang woo was a murderous psychopath that manipulated everyone and didn’t care to be careful enough. Where as the seme in this one is actually smart af and in a way has taken revenge for victims. Even though he says he took revenge just as an excuse to kill to see what it felt like. I think this seme does care about his friends/family bc he could have easily have not taken revenge for them, but he did. The seme also cares about the uke bc he tries his best to make the uke happy, he tries to understand the uke even though his abilities of empathy/sympathy are lacking.

While Kang Moo has a deep understanding of what his family think of him. How they're still afraid of him. And you're correct about him trying to understand Kirin. Even if he don't have the ability to empathize with people, he's trying to give kirin what he wants. And that's something Sangwoo don't have.
I think people are traumatized with how good killing stalking is portrayed that they're still lost at what that manga is really is about. And tbh it's not supposed to be romantic. It's supposed to be horrific. How 2 broken beyond repair people formed an extremely toxic relationship. and what will happen if they continue that relationship.
I'd be honest I'm one of those who wished sangwoo and bum had a happy ending. LMAO. But in reality there's no happy ending in that kind of relationship. I dunno who the readers are, but this feels like Killing Stalking all over again. Kangmoo may be born that way, but idolizing someone who has no compunction about murder is just a huge no. Seorin's rapists are dead, but now Kirin's closest people are being cut off and threatened and he can't do anything about it. If anything, Kirin enables Kangmoo and just smiles sadly and shrugs.
